What Makes YOU Smile - Children's Bookshow Competition 2020

To enter the competition all you have to is make a picture of what makes you smile. You can use any art materials you like, pencils, crayon, paints, coloured pencils, felt tips, or you could even make a collage with coloured papers.

A range of children's illustrators have been asked to draw what makes them smile, if you need some inspiration check out the Children's Bookshow website.

Ulla Saar is one of Estonia's most talented illustrators, she lives in a little wooden house in Estonia with her son and her cat - and this is what makes her smile.

There are so many things that make Gitte Spee smile, she is not only a children's illustrator but author too. She is most well known for her books Mr. Big and Monkey and Mole.

The competition is open to KS1 & KS2.

  •  a selection of top quality art materials worth £150 to inspire a budding artist

The winning entries will be displayed on The Children's Bookshow website and social media and on the TES website.
