The School Day
For all Halley pupils, the school day starts at 8:50am.
The registration period lasts for ten minutes, from 8:50am to 9:00am.
Teaching in classes begins at 8:50am The start of day whistle will blow at 8:45 in order for pupils to be ready for start of lessons.
Children not in class by 9:00am when the register will be closed will be given a late mark.
Please support your children to be on time by ensuring that they arrive in class on time.
Morning lessons end at 11:45am and the afternoon teaching session begins at 12:45pm.
The end of the school day for all Halley pupils is 3:15pm
Nursery children who are part time AM Start school at 8:50am and finish at 12:15pm
Nursery children who are part time PM Start school at 12:15pm and finish at 3:15pm
Nursery children who are full time start at 8:50am lunch is at 11:45 to 1:15 and finish at 3:15pm

If your child goes home for their dinner
In Reception, Year 1 and 2 please collect them at 11:45am and return them to school at 12:35 (ten minutes before the start of the afternoon session).
In Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils going home for dinner should be collected from school at 12:15pm and returned to school at 1:05pm (ten minutes before the start of the afternoon session).
Please note that for insurance reasons the school cannot accept children back from home dinners more than ten minutes before the start of the afternoon session.
